As far as I remember the speed was not a main problem of the machine but it tended to be unstable and turn over and many others “child deseases”? gotta refresh my insights

After refreshing my memory I can add that in spite of very threatening various canons bristle up it was extremely hard to fire them even one at a time not to mention firing them all at once. All the necessary improvements required much efforts funds and engineering. The total cost would be extremely high (1.500 000 versus 60 000 of BT cost). So of course it was dropped down. But it gave much engineering experience for further improvements in other machines. So it all was for reasons ;)

we also can say that if it wasn't for it the soviet tank technology could develop
